So this is what it is to have a non-student job...
Living life the digital way
From news to entertainment, money making and money spending, more and more people are spending their lives online. What is it about this medium that attracts people to it like moths to a flame?
And so marked the end of the epic tale of the HP iPod
Remember how a few months ago I was all proud of the fact that I had hacked an iPod mini to be 16GB? Well, apparently the iPod body I transplanted the flash card into wasn't 100% ok...
What's this? I actually designed something pretty?
Alright guys and gals...stop the presses: I've actually designed something from scratch that I don't immediately hate.
Read more about it at my web design portfolio page, or just look at the pretty picture below:
Once more, and hopefully for the last time
First off, a little bragging. I finally got a new computer. It's another mac mini.
Humidity is 100%
In case anyone was wondering what 100% humidity looks like, here's the view from my apartment window.
A new plan
I'm always scheming something, aren't I?
This time I think I've hit on a plan with some merit. I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I'm going to do after I graduate, and I realize that I've done very little work in the field that I'm studying, but a lot in web design and development. I was trying to figure out what I could do with the combination of the three and I stumbled upon an idea: combine them into a sellable service.
I don't know why I keep going back
I'm doing it again. I'm downloading KDE for my mac.
Oh yeah. I'm a web designer.
Let's keep it short and simple. If your site cannot be read by Dillo, then you need to go back and reconsider your design.
I didn't say it had to look pretty.
Phishing, spam, and social engineering
Due to where I work, I encounter all manner of spam e-mail messages that I have to filter through. Unfortunately, SFSU's spam filters are a bit lacking, so I end up having to manually move things into the Junk queue of our ticketing system.
