Working as customer support for SF State's Moodle installation has bred a fascination with user interaction with
computer interfaces, as well as expanded an already healthy interest in web applications.
Keeping a blog has helped with flexing my writing skills while not worrying about having to have to write in a specific "style".
I had some extra time this afternoon and someone from the office suggested I go outside, due to the weather being nice. I thought it was a splendid idea, but I didn't know where I
should go. My girlfriend suggested Golden Gate park's Botanical Garden. Not having gone there in a while, I decided that would be a good place to relax and take some photos. Little
did I know the place was overrun by small, furry rodents.
This guy was sitting patiently on a bench, munching on a nut. He seemed to be as curious about me as I was about him, and let me get pretty close.
As I got closer, he stood up and started posing for me.
He wanted to make sure I got his good side.
I kept walking down the path and found a log in between two sections of the garden. I sat down to take in the bird sounds and the fresh breeze, and was suddenly joined by another
fuzzy individual.
These guys kept sneaking up on me...
I think if I hadn't taken this picture, he would have come right up to my face. As it is, he was about two feet from my lens.
I walked a little further on, and found a dried out stream bed with a stone path to cross it. I saw several squirrels battling it out for the nuts they kept digging up. I sat down
quietly and observed them, becoming part of the scenery. They soon forgot I was there until...
Rachel always says they move like ribbons, so I took a small video of two running around.
I also took pictures of non-squirrel things, such as pretty flowers:
A tree.
And... a sprinkler.
All in all, my afternoon was rather relaxing. Squirrels are crazy.
