Just a quick update. I've registered for my courses, and I've gotten all the classes I need this semester, or rather the ones that I could get. The budget situation in California
has made it increasingly difficult to actually get all classes in a timely fashion. Hypothetically, after this semester I'll have two classes left to complete.
List of classes
This semester I'll be taking the following classes:
- Cinematography (cinema advanced production)
- Digital Editing (cinema advanced production)
- Film History I: Film to World War II
- Central American Society (Segment III cluster GE)
The two classes I am missing are one final class for my segment three GE cluster, and Film History II: World War II to present. Of course, I'll need to get two other classes to
complete the full time requirements, but that shouldn't be too hard. I thought I had way more units to finish, but thanks to the courses I took in England which were worth 5 units
each, I essentially only have to take one more class of cinema electives (which the two advanced production courses count towards), and the two film history classes and I'll be done
with the Cinema portion of my degree. I can finally see the end.
Hi C -- thanks for the update
Hi C -- thanks for the update on your classes. Do you find the unit load challenging? I am always interested in how you are doing in your classwork and projects.
With the exception of last
With the exception of last semester, I've been doing an average of 18 units per semester, or the equivalent (15 per semester in England might as well been 18). It's difficult to balance classwork and work work, but I've managed. Because I have so few actual units left, however, I'm going to drastically scale back how many classes I'm taking, so I can "relax" a bit and have more time to focus on my major classes and projects, such as my Cinematography final project this semester.
