Working as customer support for SF State's Moodle installation has bred a fascination with user interaction with

Keeping a blog has helped with flexing my writing skills while not worrying about having to have to write in a specific "style".
One of the interesting things about living next to ocean facing cliffs is seeing random hang gliders fly over every once in a while. On a previous photography expedition, I
encountered a few further south, near Pacifica. However, these are not the ones I see on a regular basis, so I decided to find out where they come from. Amazingly enough, despite
the fact that I have lived out here for quite a while, I've never gone out to Fort Funston where the gliders depart from.
This is usually how close I am able to get. Sadly, without a telephoto lens, I cannot get any closer, unless...
In the past I have made many a mental note to pull off of Skyline Blvd. here to see what there was to see. For some reason I never put two and two together that the hang gliders
were probably hanging out here. From the observation area at the edge of the cliff you are able to get much closer to the gliders as they zoom past the cliffs.
Now this guy with the purple stripe was a bit of a daredevil. He would zoom past the observation area nearly going upside down, obviously to please the crowd.
Not wanting to be left out of the action, the local birds also partook of high speed gliding.
I think I'm going to try to go back here to get some better pictures when the weather is nicer. In the meantime, I leave you with some flowers.
